How It Works (Testosterone Suspension)

Testosterone Suspension (Test® – Suspension 100mg) acts by binding to androgen receptors in muscles, bones, and other tissues, or converting into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a potent form of testosterone. This stimulates protein synthesis, muscle growth, red blood cell production, and the development of male secondary sexual traits.

Uses

This medication is prescribed for men with low or absent natural testosterone, including primary hypogonadism (testicular failure) and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (pituitary or hypothalamic issues). It can also help manage delayed puberty and other testosterone-deficiency conditions.

Who Should Avoid It

Do not use if allergic to testosterone, have prostate or breast cancer, severe liver or kidney problems, or if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Precautions

Patients with heart disease, liver or kidney issues, sleep apnea, or clotting risks should be closely monitored. Regular checks of PSA levels, hematocrit, and overall hormone levels are recommended.

Drug Interactions

May interact with anticoagulants, corticosteroids, and antidiabetic medications. Inform your healthcare provider about all medicines you take.

Dosage

Typical dosing for adult males is 50–100 mg injected intramuscularly 2–3 times per week. Dosage may be adjusted based on serum testosterone and clinical response. Always follow your doctor’s instructions.
